‘From Russia with Music’ – Children’s Concert

‘From Russia with Music’
6 April 2008 at 4 p.m.
Devised and presented by Atarah Ben-Tovim MBE
with National Symphony Orchestra,
conducted by 14-year-old prodigy composer Alexander Prior

Alex Prior

A revolutionary concert of music by Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Stravinsky, and other Russian comrade composers. Everyone can sing along with The Volga Boat Song, Kalinka and Midnight in Moscow. Beware the James Bond music! We have ways of making the ballet dancers show their steppes in Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and Montagues and Capulets. Be transported by a young star pianist and one of Alexander Prior’s own compositions.

End the Easter hols with a bang! Every child gets a paper bag to pop with the cannons in 1812 Overture, … and a free chopstick for the conducting workshop ! Steel drums in the foyer…

Suitable for children up to 14.
