Loved seeing/hearing you again on youtube at your 70th. I came to all your concerts in Edinburgh in the early 80s. My son and I loved you and felt loved right back without ever meeting you. You were a special and strong support to me as a single parent at a particularly vulnerable time after an unpleasant break up so just wanted to say 'Thank you' from my heart. I'm now 40 and remember it as if it was yesterday. I've grown up with music and play drums primarily. Imagine my surprise when my wife told me that she had seen you in the 80's in Ipswich when she was a girl and that we had BOTH chosen the Blue Album to take home after the concert. The Posthorn Gallop, Robot Rock and War of the Puddings are now on the top play list in the car for our 2 year old son, so your work carries on. We all played for a local radio.It was one of the most exciting experiences I had at secondary. He proposes on www.pianoandco.com some score of transcribed original pieces for duets to give access to flutists to a great part of classical & romantic repertoire by transcribing pieces for piano & flute (especially chamber music). You can discover the vast number of pieces already on line with some for free download on the site I think it is great for a flutist to be able to offer the access to this happiness found in chamber music through an extended repertoire.
