Dear Atarah, I am now 25, we briefly met 15 years ago in a small school called St Margarets in England. I played clarinet and we performed Lotus Talk. You really inspired me and I continued with my music. It is still a very happy memory for me. Thank you.

Your farmhouse and flute retreats look amazing and so very idyllic! Having studied in the countryside of Southern Vermont with the Moyses, I can appreciate how wonderful and beneficial this kind of setting can be for learning and music-making!

Wow – never thought I’d actually find a site by yourself when i typed in search engine!! HI!!!!!! You were my inspiration to start playing flute at age of 12 after you perform in Perth city hall in the late 70’s early 80’s! When the woodwind teacher asked why I wanted to play flute, I said “I enjoyed Atarah’s band so much I wanted to do that too”!! Sadly I haven’t played much since leaving secondary school – though would love chance to get back to it but life hectic just now raising my wee boys aged 4,3, 1 1/2 and 3 months!! The older two already show musical ability (the eldest wanted a keyboard last christmas and a guitar this Christmas!!!) so I do hope they too find inspiration in choosing the way they want to go. Thank you thank you so much for the influence you had in my formative years. God bless. x

I really enjoyed your Flute Fables and Fantasies presentation at the Women’s Art Association Gallery in Toronto. It was great that it was so interactive and playing as a flute choir was also a wonderful experience. Hope you come back soon!

Hi Atarah!
I was in this performance, and in that picture! I am the one in the turquoise top, with the pink and purple mask. I can remember planning this for ages, and om about 2 days before the performance, I can remember you saying that you wanted us all to wear feathers! Playing alongside you at the Barbican was great!
